My Journey, My Story
A storytelling and connection group for LGBTQ+ older adults celebrating resilience, identity, and lived experience.
Every life holds a unique story shaped by experiences, challenges, triumphs, relationships, and moments of growth. My Journey, My Story is a supportive group experience for LGBTQ+ older adults to reflect on their life journeys, share personal stories, and connect with others in a welcoming and affirming space.
Through guided conversations and meaningful discussion, participants are invited to explore the experiences that have shaped their identities, celebrate their resilience, and honor the wisdom gained throughout life’s journey. Whether discussing relationships, family, community, milestones, challenges, or moments of pride, this group provides an opportunity to be heard, understood, and valued.
There is no pressure to share more than feels comfortable. Participants are encouraged to engage at their own pace while building connections with others who appreciate the richness and diversity of LGBTQ+ life experiences.
Join us as we celebrate our stories, learn from one another, and recognize that every journey matters.
Attend in person at The Lama Collective or join virtually from anywhere. Both options provide a welcoming space for connection, reflection, and support.
Sound Bath
Immerse yourself in soothing sound, cultivate inner calm, and experience deep relaxation through the healing power of mindful listening.
A sound bath is a deeply relaxing and restorative experience designed to support relaxation, mindfulness, and overall well-being. During a session, participants are invited to rest comfortably while being immersed in the soothing sounds and vibrations of crystal singing bowls, chimes, and other calming instruments.
The gentle tones create an opportunity to slow down, quiet the mind, and reconnect with the present moment. Many people find sound baths to be a helpful way to reduce stress, promote relaxation, cultivate mindfulness, and create a sense of balance and inner calm.
No prior experience is necessary. Simply come as you are, settle into a comfortable position, and allow yourself the space to rest, reflect, and receive. Whether you are seeking a moment of peace, a break from the demands of daily life, or a supportive mindfulness practice, a sound bath offers a unique opportunity to nourish your mind, body, and spirit.
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and may wish to bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, or other items that support comfort and relaxation during the experience.
Private individual, private group, public group, and travel sessions available.
Women’s Circle
A women’s circle is a gathering where women come together in a supportive, intentional space to connect, share, and support one another.
What can I expect at Women’s Circle?
A Women’s Circle is an opportunity to step away from the demands of daily life and reconnect with yourself in a supportive, welcoming community of women. This is not a therapy or support group; rather, it is a space for mindfulness, reflection, connection, and restoration.
Each circle includes herbal tea service, guided mindfulness practices, meditation, gentle breathwork, meaningful conversation, personal reflection, and a soothing sound healing experience. This is a space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, cultivate inner calm, and build authentic connections with others—all while taking time to nourish your mind, body, and spirit. No experience is necessary; come exactly as you are.
What can I expect at Women’s Circle?
Come as you are and wear comfortable clothing that allows you to relax and settle in. You may wish to bring a journal, water bottle, blanket, cushion, or any item that helps you feel cozy and grounded. No special experience with meditation, mindfulness, or sound healing is needed. Simply arrive with an open mind, a willingness to slow down, and permission to give yourself this time for rest, reflection, and connection.
Choosing the Right Fit
- Counseling is best when emotional support, healing, or mental health treatment is needed.
- Coaching is best when your focus is growth, direction, and intentional change.
To align with ethical and licensing standards, counseling and coaching are offered as separate services, and clients engage in one or the other—not both at the same time. If concerns arise that fall outside the scope of coaching, a referral to therapy may be recommended.
