Coaching Support for Living with Chronic Illness
Living with a chronic illness often means navigating ongoing, layered change; physically, emotionally, and practically. A holistic, mindfulness-informed coaching approach can help you adapt with greater self-awareness, flexibility, and compassion.
This coaching offers space to slow down, tune in, and make thoughtful choices that support how you live now
not how you “used to” or “should” live.
A Holistic, Mindfulness-Informed Approach
Holistic coaching means we consider the whole of your experience, including:
- Physical energy and capacity
- Emotional and cognitive load
- Values, identity, and meaning
- Daily routines, boundaries, and support systems
Mindfulness-informed coaching brings attention to awareness and presence, helping you notice patterns, signals, and needs without judgment. Rather than pushing through or ignoring what your body and life are communicating, we work with that information to guide decisions and planning.
This approach is especially supportive when life feels unpredictable or when traditional productivity models no longer fit.
Who This Coaching Is For
Chronic illness coaching may be a good fit if you are:
- Adjusting to a new diagnosis or long-term condition
- Navigating flares, unpredictability, or shifting capacity
- Feeling disconnected from your body or overwhelmed by planning
- Grieving changes in identity, work, or future expectations
- Wanting a more sustainable, values-aligned way forward
You do not need to be “mindful,” calm, or positive to begin—just open to reflection and experimentation.
How Coaching Helps
Using a holistic, mindfulness-informed lens, coaching may support you in:
- Developing awareness of your energy, limits, and needs
- Creating flexible routines rather than rigid plans
- Setting goals that are realistic and self-respecting
- Making decisions with more clarity and less self-judgment
- Strengthening self-trust and agency
- Finding meaning and direction within uncertainty
This work honors both grief and growth, without forcing either.
Important Boundaries in Chronic Illness Coaching
Chronic illness coaching is a non-clinical service. It does not involve diagnosis, mental health treatment, or medical guidance, and it is not a substitute for therapy or healthcare.
While I am also a licensed therapist, coaching is offered separately and focuses on adaptation, awareness, and intentional living. Referrals for therapy or medical care can be discussed when appropriate.
Next Steps
If you are living with chronic illness and want support that is grounded, holistic, and respectful of your lived experience, coaching may be a helpful next step.
A consultation can help determine whether this coaching space aligns with your needs and goals.
